Against the Wall Framing and Gallery is celebrating our 10th year in business! While there have been ups and downs, We're proud to be thriving in Havelock and we love our great loyal customers. For the past 7 years we have occupied the old "Purbaugh" building in Lincoln's Historic Havelock District. John O'Hare, owner and faithful leader, completely renovated both the upstairs and downstairs of the building, making a beautiful historical spot on "the Avenue". The Gallery currently features works of local painters, photographers, sculptors, jewelers, potters and textile artists as well as a collection of hand-dyed silk scarves, batiks, watercolors and oils from Central Asia. The Purbaugh is a great old building that hosts not only Against the Wall, but other fine businesses as well. In the back you can purchase fresh sourdough bread from the Wise Oven Bakery. The only wood-fired bakery in town. Upstairs is home to newly-opened Pepe's Bistro. Flavors abound in Pepe's unique blend of vegetarian Latin American inspired cuisine. Upstairs you can also find Styron Photography and Design, for portrait and commercial photographic services We invite you to come check us out. |
