Artists from the Guild will display work from various media

May 1 - 31 2009

Opening Reception: Friday, May 1st  6-9 p.m.

Against The Wall Gallery features in May, member artists from the Lincoln Artists' Guild.  On display will be a cross-section of media from painting, watercolor and drawing, to photography and more three-dimensional works. The exhibition will be on display May 1–31, with an opening reception Friday, May 1st, 2009 from 6 to 9 pm.  The artists will be present to visit and answer any questions.

Live music by Lincoln musicians, Carey Collingham (cello) and Vicki Harris (piano) will accompany the work. You can visit Vicki Harris' website at www.harrismusicstudio.com

The Lincoln Artists' Guild was founded in the 1920s and has long provided a atmosphere where artists can communicate and support one another in creative endeavors. The mission statement of the group is to promote and encourage visual artists at all levels of development.  They meet the first Tuesday of each month where various activities are scheduled, from guest speakers, to field trips, to constructive critiques of artists’ work, both finished and in progress. They offer their member the opportunities of displaying their work in public with several exhibits throughout the year.

Some of the artists displaying their work in May will be: Terri Allen, Virginia Clark, Elizabeth Hefley, Donna Justsen, Bob Koser, Jennifer Lemons, Julie Lemons, Nancy Lincoln, Wanda Medina, Karen Merritt, Carmen Nastase, Barbara Patronsky, Missi Paul, Jan Pippitt, Donna Pozehl, Faye Potter, Doni Stoner, Theresa Tibbels and Sheila Tinkham.
