Against
The Wall Gallery features in May, member artists from the Lincoln
Artists' Guild. On display will be a cross-section of media
from painting, watercolor and drawing, to photography and more
three-dimensional works. The
exhibition will be on display May 7–31, with an opening reception
Friday, May 7th,
2009 from 5 to8 pm. The
artists will be present at the receptionto visit and answer any
questions.
Please be sure to Join Us!! The opening reception is sure to be a fun time. Against the Wall Gallery is open Mon., Wed., Fri. & Sat. 10am to 5pm.; Tues. and Thurs. from 10am to 7pm. The Lincoln
Artists' Guild is celebrating it's 90th anniversary this year and part
of that celebration will take place here at Against the Wall Gallery.
The Guild was founded in 1920 and has long provided a atmosphere where
artists can communicate and support one another in creative endeavors.
The mission statement of the group is to promote
and encourage visual artists at all levels of development.
They meet the first Tuesday of each month where various activities are
scheduled, from guest speakers, to field trips, to constructive
critiques of artists’ work, both finished and in progress. They offer
their member the opportunities of displaying their work in public with
several exhibits throughout the year. Some of the artists displaying their work in May will be: Julie Lemons, Jennifer Lemons, Theresa Tibbels ,Dale Bergantzel, Nancy Lincoln, Doni Stoner, Ramona Lindbloom, Barb Patronsky, John Harvey, Sheila Tinkham, Karen Merritt, Shirley Maly, Sally Cox, Clarissa Hastie, Judy Martindale, Donna Pozehl.
