Spring is finally here pokin' it's head out of the clouds and it is time once again to bring in the member artists from the Lincoln
Artists' Guild. Various media will be on display including painting, drawing and photography The
exhibition will be on display May 6–31, with an opening reception
Friday, May 6th,
2011 from 6 to8 pm. The
artists will be present at the receptionto visit and answer any
questions.
Please be sure to join us!! The opening reception is sure to be a fun time. Against the Wall Gallery is open Mon., Wed., Fri. & Sat. 10am to 5pm.; Tues. and Thurs. from 10am to 7pm. The Artists' Guild was founded in 1920 and has long provided a atmosphere where
artists can communicate and support one another in creative endeavors.
The mission statement of the group is to promote
and encourage visual artists at all levels of development. They meet the first Tuesday of each month where various activities are scheduled, from guest speakers, to field trips, to constructive critiques of artists’ work, both finished and in progress. They offer their member the opportunities of displaying their work in public with several exhibits throughout the year. Some of the artists displaying their work in May will be: Jerry Hall, Julie Lemons, Jennifer Lemons, Theresa Tibbels , Terri Allen, Myrna Baade, Polly Andersen, Carolyn Plants, Barb Patronsky, Joyce Jacobs, Sheila Tinkham, Shirley Maly, Donna Pozehl, Dave Cass and Virginia Clark.
